简介：Specialeducationisachallengingareaofeducation,astraditionalinstructionstrategiesneedtobeappropriatelyadjustedtomatchtheindividuals’needsresultingfromvarioustypesoflearningandotherdisabilities(LD).Amongarangeofsubjects,thepaperfocusesonscienceeducationforLDstudentsanditelaboratesontwogroupsofadaptationsfrequentlydiscussedintheliterature,whichinvolvematerialsalternativetotextbook.Wehavecarriedoutaliteraturereviewbyusingapoolofreviewarticlesfromthe“BibliographyObservatory”databasedevelopedbytheUniversityofThessaly,Greece.Wehereinpresentthesumoftheresearchactivityprimarilyfromthepastdecades(post1980s),pertainingtotechnologyassistedadaptationsandhands-onactivities/laboratoryinstruction.ThisanalysishasshownthatthereisanincreasingresearchinterestinsuchadaptationsbothchronologicallyandmostimportantlyprovidesevidenceoftheadvantagestheseadaptationsoffertoLDstudents.
