简介:AIM:Toevaluatetheefficacyofintralesionalradiofrequencyablationinthetreatmentofperiorbitalsyringomas.·METHODS:Wetriedtheintralesionalradiofrequencyablationfor64patientswithperiorbitalsyringomasfrom2007to2011.Theoperationwasperformedunder2.5loupemagnifications.Thehandpiecewasassembledwithaneedleelectrodeandconnectedtotheradiofrequencyablationapparatus.Theelectrodewastheninsertedintothetargetlesionsindermisanddeliveringinjurytothebaseofthesetumors.Resultswereassessedclinicallybycomparingpre-andpost-treatmentphotographsandpatientsatisfactionrates.·RESULTS:Clinicalimprovementincreasedwitheachsubsequenttreatmentsession.Thepercentofpatientswhoseclinicimprovementgradewere≥3aftereachsessionwasrespectively71.9%(Session1),83.3%(Session2),and100%(Session3).Thestatisticalresultsindicatedtheconcordanceoftheclinicalassessmentandthesatisfactionlevelofpatients(kappa=0.78ofthesession1;kappa=0.82ofthesession2).Themajorityofpatientshadgoodorexcellentcosmeticresults.Postoperatively,therewerenopermanentsideeffectsorrecurrences.·CONCLUSION:Asanewtechniqueofminimallyinvasion,theintralesionalradiofrequencyablationwasfoundtobeaneffective,inexpensive,highlypreciseandsafewayoftreatingperiorbitalsyringomas.
简介:目的:探讨线粒体膜电位(△ψm)、Caspase3在As2O3诱导ACC-2细胞凋亡中的作用。方法:进行ACC-2细胞培养,将As2O3建立不同药物浓度梯度(0,1.0,2.0,4.0,8.0μmol/L)分别作用于ACC-2细胞,用Rh123染色,流式细胞仪检测8.0μmol/LAs2O3作用前、后(24h),ACC-2细胞的线粒体膜电位(△ψm)变化;用多功能酶标仪进行Caspase3活性检测。结果:空白对照组ACC-2细胞内Rh123荧光强度最强,8.0μmol/LAs2O3处理组ACC-2细胞内Rh123荧光强度减弱,其差异有显著性(P〈0.05);随着As2O3药物浓度的增高(0,1,2,4,8μmol/L),ACC-2细胞的Caspase3酶活力单位逐渐增加。结论:As2O3作用于ACC-2细胞,可通过降低线粒体膜电位从而引起细胞凋亡。随着As2O3药物浓度的增高,ACC-2细胞的Caspase3酶活力单位逐渐增加,Caspase3被激活,细胞可发生不可逆转的凋亡过程。
简介:AIM:Tostudyclinicalfeaturesandgenemutationswithinthepaired-likehomeodomaintranscriptionfactor2(PITX2)geneinapedigreeofbilaterallimbaldermoids.METHODS:Completeeyeexaminationshavebeenperformedoneachindividualofthefamily.Exonsofpaired-likehomeodomaintranscriptionfactor2(PITX2)wereamplifiedbypolymerasechainreaction,sequenced,andcomparedwithareferencedatabase.RESULTS:Wedescribedthephenotype,clinicfindingsinafamilywithtwoaffectedmembers.Themassesoftheproband’seyeswereexcisedsurgicallydemonstratingadermoidcystbyhistopathologicalexamination.NomutationwasdetectedinthegenePITX2inthispedigree.CONCLUSION:Afamilyoflimbaldermoidcystwasreported.Inaddition,nopathogenicsequencevariationswerefoundinPITX2,indicatingthatthisphenotypeinthisfamilyisadistinctiveentity.
简介:AIM:TodiscusstheimpactofLyciumBarbarumPolysaccharide(LBP)andDanshensupurifiedfromTraditionalChineseMedicine(TCM)onvascularendothelialgrowthfactor(VEGF)ofrabbitswithretinalneovascularization.METHODS:Fortyrabbitsweredividedintonormalcontrolgroup,modelcontrolgroup,LBPgroupandDanshensugroup.Animalsinthenormalcontrolgroupwerefedinthenormaloxygenenvironment.Animalsintheotherthreegroupswereputintotheenvironmentwith70%oxygenfor5daysinordertobuildthemodelofoxygen-inducedvascularproliferationretinopathy.AndthendifferentTCMextractwasinjectedintotheabdominalcavitiesoftheseannimals.After7days,theVEGFcontentofintheserumofrabbitwasmeasuredbydoubleantibodysandwichmethod.RESULTS:DataanalysisindicatedthatVEGFcontentwasasfollows:Danshensugroupwaslowerthanmodelcontrolgroup(12.92±3.84ng/Lvs19.32±4.15ng/L,P<0.05);LBPgroupandnormalcontrolgroupwerelowerthanmodelcontrolgroup(12.92±3.84ng/L,9.26±1.61ng/Lvs19.32±4.15ng/L,P<0.01);totalbloodviscosity,plasmaviscosity,cholesterolcontent,fibrinogencontentandtriacylglycerolcontentafterperitonealinjectionofLBPandDanshensuwereobviouslylowerthanbeforeinjection.CONCLUSION:TCMextract-LBPandDanshensucanprominentlyreducethecontentofVEGFintheprocessofvascularproliferativeretinopathyofrabbit;canpreventtheoccurrenceofretinalmicrovasculardiseasebyimprovingpartialoxygen-deficientenvironmentoraffectingallkindsofnewgrowthfactor.
简介:·Glaucomaisoneoftheleadingcausesofvisualimpairmentandblindnessworldwide.Ofknownriskfactorsforglaucoma,anincreasedinintraocularpressureismosthighlycorrelatedwithglaucomatousdamage.Irrespectiveofthecause,apoptosisoftheretinalganglioncellsistheeventualoutcome.Itiswidelyacceptedthatglaucomaisaneurodegenerativediseasethatisstronglycorrelatedwithcentralnervoussystemdisorders,suchasAlzheimer’sdisease.Thesetwodisordersalsosharesomesimilaritiesinpathogenicmechanisms.Recentstudiessuggestthatthetransientreceptorpotentialcanonical6channelcouldworktogetherwithbrain-derivedneurotrophicfactortopromoteneuronsurvivalinbrainandretina.Inthisstudy,weproposethattransientreceptorpotentialcanonical6maycontributetothepathogenesisofhumanglaucomaandbecomeapotentialtherapeutictarget.
简介:AIM:Toestimatetheprevalenceandriskfactorsforvitreousfloatersinthegeneralpopulation.·METHODS:Anelectronicsurveywasadministeredthroughasmartphoneappaskingvariousdemographicandhealthquestions,includingwhetherusersexperiencefloatersintheirfieldofvision.Multivariatelogisticregressionanalysiswasusedtodetermineriskfactors.·RESULTS:Atotalof603individualscompletedthesurvey,with76%reportingthattheyseefloaters,and33%reportingthatfloaterscausednoticeableimpairmentinvision.Myopeswere3.5timesmorelikely(P=0.0004),andhyperopes4.4timesmorelikely(P=0.0069)toreportmoderatetoseverefloaterscomparedtothosewithnormalvision.Floaterprevalencewasnotsignificantlyaffectedbyrespondentage,race,gender,andeyecolor.·CONCLUSION:Vitreousfloaterswerefoundtobeaverycommonphenomenoninthisnon-clinicalgeneralpopulationsample,andmorelikelytobeimpairinginmyopesandhyperopes.
简介:目的探讨一种规范化的的高度近视白内障超声乳化方式,总结手术注意点。方法选取高度近视白内障患者91例(91眼)均予以超声乳化联合人工晶体植入术治疗并总结。结果所有病例的术后裸眼视力均优于术前裸眼视力。术后第1天裸眼视力≥0.2共72眼(79.12%),≥0.5共37只眼(40.66%);术后3月裸眼视力≥0.2共85只眼(93.41%),≥0.5共42只眼(46.15%)。最佳矫正视力≥0.2共89只眼(97.80%),最佳矫正视力≥0.5共72只眼(79.12%)。术前散光度平均1.10D±0.78D,术后3月散光度平均1.25D±0.72D。术后散光度与术前散光度比较,差异无显著性(t=1.166,P=0.261)。无瞳孔严重变形、视网膜脱离、囊样黄斑水肿、瞳孔夹持、青光眼以及顽固性葡萄膜炎等并发症。结论低能量,高负压,低灌注,连续环形撕囊,双手劈核技术对于高度近视白内障患者更加安全有效。
