简介:Inthispaperwestudytheproximalpointalgorithm(PPA)basedpredictioncorrection(PC)methodsformonotonevariationalinequalities.Eachiterationofthesemethodsconsistsofapredictionandacorrection.ThepredictorsareproducedbyinexactPPAsteps.ThenewiteratesarethenupdatedbyacorrectionusingthePPAformula.Wepresenttwoprofitfunctionswhichservetwopurposes:Firstweshowthattheprofitfunctionsaretightlowerboundsoftheimprovementsobtainedineachiteration.Basedonthisconclusionweobtaintheconvergenceinexactnessrestrictionsforthepredictionstep.Secondweshowthattheprofitfunctionsarequadraticallydependentuponthesteplengths,thustheoptimalsteplengthsareobtainedinthecorrectionstep.Inthelastpartofthepaperwecomparethestrengthsofdifferentmethodsbasedontheirinexactnessrestrictions.
简介:Thispapercomprehensivelyinvestigatesthepropertiesofselfphasemodulationbasedopticaldelaysystemsconsistingofdispersioncompensationfibreandhighlynonlinearfibres.Itresearchesintotheimpactsofpowerlevellaunchedintohighlynonlinearfibres,conversionwavelength,dispersionslope,modulationformatandopticalfilterbandwidthontheoverallperformanceofopticaldelaysystems.Theresultsrevealthat,ifthepowerlaunchedintohighlynonlinearfibresisfixed,thetimedelaygenerallyvarieslinearlywiththeconversionwavelength,butjumpsintermittentlyatsomeconversionwavelengths.However,thetimedelayvariessemi-periodicallywiththepowerlaunchedintohighlynonlinearfibres.Thedispersionslopeofhighlynonlinearfibreshassignificantinfluenceonthetimedelay,especiallyforthenegativedispersionslope.Thetimedelaydifferswithmodulationformatsduetothedifferentcombinedinteractionofnonlinearityanddispersioninfibres.Thebandwidthoftheopticalfiltersalsogreatlyaffectsthetimedelaybecauseitdeterminesthebandwidthofthepassedsignalintheselfphasemodulationbasedtimedelaysystems.Theoutputsignalqualityoftheoveralltimedelaysystemsdependsontheconversionwavelengthandinputpowerlevel.Theoptimisationofthepowerlevelandconversionwavelengthtoprovidethebestoutputsignalqualityismadeattheendofthispaper.

简介:Anultrasensitivemetamaterialsensorbasedondouble-slotverticalsplitringresonators(DVSRRs)isdesignedandnumericallycalculatedintheterahertzfrequency.ThisDVSRRdesignproducesafundamentLCresonancewithaqualityfactorofabout20whentheincidencemagneticfieldcomponentnormaltotheDVSRRarray.TheresonantcharacteristicsandsensingperformanceoftheDVSRRarraydesignaresystematicallyanalyzedemployingacontrastmethodamongthreesimilarverticalsplitringresonator(SRRs)structures.Theresearchresultsshowthattheeliminationofbianisotropy,inducedbythestructuralsymmetryoftheDVSRRdesign,helpstoachieveLCresonanceofahighqualityfactor.LiftingtheSRRsupfromthesubstratesharplyreducesthedielectriclossintroducedbythesubstrate.AllthesefactorsjointlyresultinsuperiorsensitivityoftheDVSRRtotheattributesofanalytes.Themaximumrefractiveindexsensitivityis788GHz/RIUor1.04×10~5nm∕RIU.Also,theDVSRRsensormaintainsitssuperiorsensingperformanceforfabricationtolerancerangingfrom-4%to4%andwiderangeincidenceanglesupto50°underbothTEandTMilluminations.

简介:Sandblastingmachinesarewidelyusedinchemical,mechanicalandotherengineeringfields.Theinternalflowfieldofthesandblastingmachinebelongstoacomplexgas-solidtwo-phaseflow,andimpactbythecontinuousabrasivesandcancausethemachinetowearorevenfail.Inthisstudy,theEDEM-FLUENTcouplingmethodwasusedtocalculatethetransientflowfieldofthegasphaseandthemotion,dynamicandcollisioncharacteristicsofthesand.Airinthesandblastingmachinewastreatedastheidealgasandthecontinuousphase.Thesandwasregardedasthediscretephasesolidinthecomputation.UsingtheArchardwearmodel,thewearamountofthesandblastingmachinewascalculatedandthewearlawwasanalysed,toprovideatheoreticalbasisforoptimisingthedesignandoperationmethodoftheblastingmachine.
